The #15 Belaire Bengals hosted their first home playoff game of the 21st century against the #18 Carencro Bears from Lafayette, Louisiana, in a Division 4a matchup.

On the opening kickoff, Carencro returned the ball for a touchdown. Belaire punted on their opening possession, and the Bears drove for a touchdown, and then got a pick 6 on the next possession. Belaire responded with a 91-yard touchdown to Makih Palmer, and quickly it was 21-6. Carencro drove for a touchdown again and converted a 2 point conversion.  A Belaire fumble on their 4 yard line let to another rushing touchdown, and a score of 36-6 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter. Belaire drove down to the 14, but penalties hindered them from moving forward, and they punted. The Bears turned around and scored again, and then, on the last play of the half, Belaire hook and laddered into a Denichlass Jeter touchdown, and the first half ended 43-12.

To start the second half, Belaire got a first down after a roughing the punter penalty, and proceeded to throw an interception. Carencro scored another touchdown, and Belaire replied with a 45-yard passing touchdown and 2 point conversion. As was the story of the game, the Bears scored another touchdown to make the score 57-20, and then got another pick 6 on a Belaire 4th down. Another Carencro touchdown took us to the end of the game, 71-20.

Carencro is heading to Monroe, Louisiana next week to face #2 seed Neville High School.
