At what age did you begin playing football?

I started playing when I was 9.

What motivated you to get into playing this sport?

I really liked the sport growing up. I watched a lot of Saints football and saw them win the Super Bowl. I was always interested in football.

What’s your favorite thing about your position?

I like to sack the quarterback.

What would you say are your main strengths on the field?

My mind, hands and eyes. I’m quick to read the play with my eyes, and my hands are quick to react.

What’s your favorite thing about playing football in Louisiana?

The energy that it gives off. Every Friday that we play is just fun. The energy is the best part.

How was it adapting to new restrictions with COVID?

We stayed cooperative to the rules. We adjusted quickly. We kept the program pushing, but followed the rules.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you?

Hard working and coachable.

Three words to describe yourself?

Smart, respectful and careful.

How do you balance your schoolwork and football?

I dedicate time to my academics, and then I move on to my athletics.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

At a university, playing football.

What would you like to major in?

Business.

What would you bring to a college team that is different?

Just hard work and the spirit of never giving up.

How do you prepare for an upcoming game?

I watch film throughout the whole week, go hard at practice, and then I get into this mode on gameday where I don’t talk. I just focus on what I’m going to do during the game.

How do you handle wins and losses?

Wins, I take my win, I enjoy it. When I lose, I take it like a champion. I get back into the lab and try to work on my mistakes.

Do you have aspirations of playing in the NFL?

Yes.

Do you have a favorite NFL or College Athlete and what elements, if any, do you take from their game?

My favorite NFL athlete has to be C.J. Gardner-Johnson from the Saints. He has a drive about him, and he talks that smack.

What would you tell younger players who want to play high school football one day?

Start off at a young age. Be open-minded to learn new things.

What’s been the highlight of your football career so far?

Starting off this season with a new coach, after missing the season last year.

What does football mean to you?

It means a lot to me. It means joy and happiness to me.

What things are you looking for most in a college football program?

A school that teaches you responsibilities, like how to grow up and be a better person in life.

If you can pick any one dead or alive to sit down with and ask anything you want, who would you pick, and what would you ask?

I would ask my mother, what does she want to see me do throughout my life?

What is one thing could you not go a day without?

Music. I really like music.

Is there a specific song or artist that gets you hype before each game?

NBA Youngboy. Anything by him.
