At what age did you begin playing football and what motivated you to play?

I started playing around six. I played at a local park with a couple of my friends. Playing with my  friends really sparked my love for football.

Do you play any other sports in high school?

I’m currently on the track team as well. I run the 100 and 200 relay. Before the football program came, I was also playing basketball. I played shooting guard.

How do you think coaches and teammates would describe you as a player?

I think they would describe me as an all around good player. I have a lot of heart and I can do whatever the coach and team need me to do.

What advice would you give to younger players who want to play high school football one day?

I would tell younger players to give all they have and never give up. It’s going to be hard, but they need to fight hard for what they want to achieve.

Outside of sports, do you have any hobbies?

I like playing video games and working out at the gym. My favorite game to play is Rainbow Six Siege. It’s a search and destroy type of game.

Do you have a favorite college or NFL athlete?

I really liked Reggie Bush. He’s the reason I wear the number 25. I used to watch him with my dad. He really inspired me to be a great running back. I try to study his playstyle a lot for my game.

What do you do in your offseason?

In the offseason, I work out with the team. I also try to get outside and do footwork drills. I also get extra workouts in the gym and get it in with my teammates.

I’d like to make it to the playoffs since our season got cut short last season. I’d mainly like to make it to the playoffs this season and get the championship.

We really like to stay serious and focus on the game. We have pregame meals and team meetings. We focus on what we came to do, which is win.

What would you say motivates you the most?

I’d say my dad motivated me the most. I know he looks at me and sees himself. He knows I can achieve big things. I like doing all this for him, especially since he’s been in and out of the hospital. It means a lot to make him proud.

What has football taught you about life?

It’s taught me teamwork and how to be unselfish. Without teamwork, you can win games. You can’t be selfish when making plays. It’s not just about you, it’s about what impacts the whole team. All of this helps your daily activities.

What’s the most challenging thing about being a running back?

The most challenging thing can be field vision. You need to be able to hit the hole when you need to. You need to adapt to plays to make a big play for the team.

Are you in any clubs at school?

I will be joining the National Honors Society. I’m currently just in fitness clubs.

Have you thought of a major?

I’m thinking about psychology. I like having one on one conversations and I would love to help people get over their issues.
