Garrett Dubois

Garrett Dubois is a class of 2023 middle linebacker who plays for the St. Edmund Blue Jays at St. Edmunds Catholic School in Eunice, Louisiana. William stands 5’10”, 185 lbs. with a bench press of 260 pounds and a squat of 345 Lbs. Dubois is known for his ability to diagnose run plays and being the enforcer in the middle of the Blue Jays defense. Dubois is known for his hardworking attitude and leadership but he is also known to lay the big hit.

How long have you been playing football and what do you love about the game of football? 

I started playing in football at the age of 11 in the 5th grade. I love the team building, brotherhood, and I love the contact of football.

What are some things football has taught you? 

Football has taught me to always have respect for others, sportsmanship, practice makes perfect and putting in the work to get to the ultimate goal which is a State Championship.

Who are your biggest motivators?

My head coach, James Shiver is the first person that comes to mind for my on the field motivation and then my dad because he always makes sure that I keep my head on straight and to make sure that every time I’m out on the field I make a name for myself. 

Do you play any other sports? 

I’m a utility player on the baseball team, I pitch, play outfield and catch and this year I will also be starting guard on the varsity basketball team. 

What would you say your greatest strength on the football field is? 

My biggest strength on the football field is that I’m always the hardest worker and the hardest hitter on the field at all times.
