Tell me about yourself.

I’m a simple guy from Northwest GA. I live on a small farm and I’m either here or playing football.

How did you start playing football?

I was playing soccer and it was the first time. A teammate’s stepdad was a coach for a Cartersville rec team. He said I was big, and he needed me on the O line. I played with them for 2 years and I came to play for him again.

What keeps you motivated?

My family and my friends. And to be able to help them out whether its financially or being a good person for them.

What are your greatest strength?

My mindset. If I’m feeling down, anything I’m not good at, I set aside anything else and focus on that thing because I don’t want any weak points.

What are some of your goals for this season?

I made pre-season All County, I made honorable mention for all state. I want to make All state and show everyone in GA I’m here.

What is a lesson you learned from football?

To be a better man. To own up to everything and not force the blame on anyone else. You have to man up sometimes when its hard and be the person people can count on.

What do you think sets you apart from competition?

My freshman I was more scared of the coaches than the competition. I broke my wrist the 3rd game of the season and didn’t get it casted until playoffs. I wanted to be the person they could count on.

How do you prepare for a game?

I put my headphones in and lock in my mindset. I get on the whiteboard and draw everything up in front of the coaches to make sure it’s all right. If my competition is 7’10 I’m going to stop him.

What do you see in your future when it comes to football?

I see myself at the collegiate level soon. I want to find the best college for my education and football. I want to come back to Cartersville, GA and help give guys different opportunities.
