DITR: Shermar Carter

Shermar Carter is a class of 2023 safety and slotback for Plaquemine High School in Plaquemine, LA. He is 5’11 and weighs 160 pounds. His 40 time is 4.43 and his max bench 245 and his max squat is 325 pounds. At his mid season point, Shermar had 10 touchdowns on offense. On defense he has 2 picks, 4+ pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles, and 12+ tackles. Shermar is an aggressive and strategic player who knows how to attack the ball and his opponents. He also on the honor roll and maintains a 3.5 GPA.

Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Im from Plaquemine, LA. I love to work out and spend time with my family. I play football and basketball.

How did you start playing football?

I started when I was young around 7 or 8. I was playing for a little league team.

How do you prepare for a game?

Each game day, as soon as I wake up, I’m locked in. I always have a pair of headphones near me so I can listen to music.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned from football?

Through everything that is thrown at you, you have to overcome it.

What is a long term achievement you want to accomplish?

My number one goal, I want to make it to the league, I’m also interested in pursuing business management. 

Who or what keeps you motivated?

My family. Seeing them get up everyday to provide for my family gives me motivation.
