Wesley Fair is a Class of 2023 Gridiron Football 4-Star Quarterback from Wichita Collegiate School in Wichita, Kansas. He’s 6’3” and 185, in a run heavy offense he produced 1700 yards rushing and nearly 1000 yards passing in 12 games. He reads defenses very quickly and at a very high level, seeing when his protection breaks down and deciding to run or putting a pass in a hole in the zone. He had 34 total touchdowns in his sophomore campaign with Wichita Collegiate. He did all this while maintaining a GPA of 3.75.

How long have you been playing football?

Wesley: My whole life. Sophomore year was first year playing quarterback, both of our quarterbacks on roster got injured and they put me back there and trusted me to get the job done. I didn’t throw a lot last season because I didn’t really know how, next season I’m going to be passing the ball more.

Will you talk about the leadership aspect that comes with being a quarterback?

W: The leadership – I’m really encouraging. Last season, lineman would miss blocks, and I would just try to encourage them. It is Coach’s job to point out what went wrong and get on people, my job as a leader is to encourage the team.

How would your teammates describe you?

W: They would say I’m chill, a fun person to be around. We all joke around together.

What would you say is your biggest strength as a quarterback?

W: Running the ball and learning quickly are my biggest strengths, I learned a new position in months and now you’re going to get to see me with a whole year under my belt as a quarterback.

What do you need to improve on the most to make sure you’re successful at the next level?

W: My accuracy. I’m not always the most accurate, but I need to get the reps in and I’m going to improve.

What is your goal for this season with Wichita Collegiate?

W: My goal is for the team to make it as far as we can in the playoffs. We want to get past the #1 team in the state, who is our rival, and I think if we beat them then we will win it all in Kansas.

Finally, why are you the guy that these schools should sign to be their quarterback of the future?

W: I’m a great leader, and I bring value, whether it is making plays or my actions on and off the field.
