Experienced Amite High Overpowers Limited Capital High

Capital High School traveled to the city of Amite to take on the Warriors of Amite High School. With a solid crowd attending for the Warriors who were practicing all social distancing and safety rules. With both teams’ fans seeming excited for some football of a Friday night. With smoke in the air and the grass freshly cut the atmosphere was set for a showdown between two 2A teams. 

With 6 returning starters and 27 players dressed Capital came in knowing they were going to be in a fight. Going against Amite who had over 80 players dressed. With overwhelming numbers, the Lions stood their ground and through problems with limited personal; the Lions fought to keep up with the Warriors, they trailed at half the score of 27-0. Adjusting at halftime the second half was a battle of field position. With Capital ending the game with only 5 linemen. Both teams tightened up defensibly with the final score being 38-0.
