High School Football Recruiting: Ascension Episcopal High School

Josh Sibley played football for approximately thirteen years. He is now a scout with Louisiana Gridiron Football and is currently scouting high school level talent throughout Louisiana. He hopes to help recruits reach their full potential and get to that next level of play.

Ascension Episcopal High School is located in Lafayette, LA. Last season they finished with a District record of 5-1 and an overall record of 8-3.

Mike Rohrberger

JR ATH

Height: 5.11

Weight: 185

3 Star Prospect

Positives

  • Fast first step
  • High motor player

Negatives

  • Needs to add bulk

Overall

Mike plays with a high motor, coupled with a fast first step and good initial pop, he is able to collapse the pocket back on the QB. He needs to add some bulk in the off season, but could be used as a rush OLB in a 3-4 defense at a DII or DIII school. Blaine Blanchard

JR RB,MLB

Height: 5.09

Weight: 175

2 Star Prospect

Positives

  • Decent strength

Negatives

  • Needs bulk

Overall

Blaine has decent speed and uses it to his advantage. His read and react skills on running plays are decent, he does need to work on his block shedding and should also look to add bulk in the off season. Here is a link. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7648115/5a09b0b8d225a40ed44d370b

JR WR, CB

Height: 5.08

Weight: 170

4 Star Prospect

Positives

  • Great acceleration
  • Great route runner

Negatives

  • Needs bulk

Overall

Seth has great vision and above average agility, he has hands to make every catch thrown his way. If he can add bulk while keeping his fluidity during the off season could possibly be a DI or DII prospect. Here is a link. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/5194238/5a09b089bd6afb0fb473fe25

JR RB, MLB

Height: 5.11

Weight: 210

4 Star Prospect

Positives

  • Great size

Negatives

  • Needs to work on catching ball away from body

Overall

Jay has great size and strength and the ability to move the chains. He should focus on his footwork during the off-season, because he sometimes takes a false step at the snap of the ball. Here is a link. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/5248264/5a258cd4b01964026496a886
