Parkview Baptist throttles Brusly 44-0

Parkview Baptist absolutely dominated an undersized Brusly squad by a score of 44-0 on Friday night. Parkview was able to take an early 30-0 first half lead by capitalizing on 4 forced turnovers.  Quarterback Roman Mula played exceptionally well, taking care of the ball and instrumentally conducting drives down the field. He ended the night going 12-15 for 136 yards. Running Back Issac Ponder ended the night with a career high 153 yards on 13 carries, with 3 carries that were over 20 yards. The dominating run game effectively kept Brusly’s offense on the sideline. Wide Receiver Andre Haynes also showed out, catching 3 passes for 43 yards. One of those catches was an absolutely spectacular grab in the back right corner of the endzone which can be seen in the highlights (2:53) at the bottom of the article. Parkview utilized a litany of inside zone runs for a good part of the game, keeping the clock rolling and the ball in their hands drive after drive as they methodically made their way down the field scoring at ease. Brusly’s undersized team was no match for the prolific Parkview offense who has scored 40+ in the past 2 games. Parkview will look to continue their dominating run as they face Madison Prep Academy next week. Brusly, who in the last two games have failed to score at all, look to reinvigorate their team with a win against Glen Oaks.
