Rising Star: Antonio Robinson

Antonio Robinson is a class of 2023 four-star cornerback for Florida Christian High School in Miami, FL. The multi-sport athlete is 5’10, weighs 170, and sports a 3.6 GPA. Antonio runs a 4.56 40, a 4.29 shuttle, 11 100-meter dash, squats 415, deadlifts 415, cleans 185, benches 225, and benches 185 for five reps. At corner, he is a turnover machine; he has great hands, speed, ball tracking skills, and hits hard. He plays tight and physical man coverage and always seems to know where the ball is going. He is currently ranked as the NO.14 DB in the country by 247 sports, but he is a playmaker at every other position he plays. You can tell he truly understands how to play because he always seems a step ahead no matter if he’s playing DB, WR, RB, or QB. Antonio made second-team all-conference as an eighth-grader, all Dade County, and first team all-conference. He is someone you want to keep your eyes on; he is currently being offered by Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Tuskegee, Penn State, Arkansas, and FIU.

How long have you been playing football? I’ve been playing football since I was 9.

Do you play any other sports? Yes, I play baseball and track.

What positions can you play? WR and DB.

What Is your primary position? Corner.

What made you chose to play corner? There’s not a lot of people playing DB, so I may as well take a shot at it.

What do you think is the most important part of playing DB? You have to stay close to the receiver and be disciplined.

What would you consider your biggest strength? My recovery speed.

What goes through your mind pre-snap? I see the split of the receiver.

What are you doing to get better? I work on my craft and my speed.

Do you have any goals for this upcoming season? No touchdowns or catches.

Do you prefer playing man or zone? I prefer man because I like to be on an island by myself.

What stands out about the way you play? I’m very unique, I got my own swag and style.
